FMTUBL21 is Forge Motorsports heat management blanket for the Garrett Powermax turbo chargers. This product has been born from sheer demand for a tailored designed turbo blanket which fits and covers the larger Garrett turbo chargers. With many vehicles now upgrading to the Powermax units, it was always been a problem to find a blanket which fits the application suitably – we had tried using our best selling FMTUBL1 blanket, but there were compromises which directed us to design this new and bespoke product.

This design has been created and proven to withstand temperatures up to 1370°C (2500°F) of radiant heat, which will assist in protecting and prolonging the life of engine components. FMTUBL21 will help keep the heat from the turbo contained, reducing the engine bay temperatures so that surrounding components will be less affected. This includes anything from coolant and electrical components to the general air temperature that can benefit induction by reducing IAT’s (inlet air temperatures).

Design innovation keeps the heat of the exhaust gases contained within the hot side of the turbocharger, away from the cool side and the intake path which helps reduce turbo lag and air intake temperatures resulting in more power. The mech inner lining helps with rigidity and prevents fatigue of the structure. FMTUBL21 is the perfect addon product when installing the Garrett power max upgrade.
