The factory intercooler on the 2.5 TFSI cars has proved to be unable to cope with the demands of higher power, hard driven cars, showing up as serious power losses during hard driving as air temperatures soar.

RacingLine’s massive ‘Plate & Bar’ Intercooler System is one of the best performing intercooler upgrade on offer for these cars. Its massive stepped core gives a mighty 77% increase in frontal area over stock, and uses careful optimised internal flow guides to efficiently divert flow into both the upper and lower sections of the cooler. The internal fin design features a high-speed core using extra tall internal tubes for maximum boost flow.

Fitment is specific for the Audi RS3 8V.2, 8Y & TTRS 8S – meaning no cutting or drilling is required to fit, and it’s carefully designed to retain and fit around the car’s original front crash bar.

RacingLine’s development focussed on finding the ‘sweet spot’ of maximum IAT cooling versus minimum pressure loss. Cast end tank construction ensures minimal turbulence and restriction, delivering maximum flow across the entire stepped-core’s depth, aided by the integrated flow guides. This has allowed RacingLine to achieve increased core volume by an impressive 69.5% versus the factory cooler, but without the typical increase in lag that often results from such a big cooler.
